Residential Services

Napoleon Campus - ICF Facility

Filling Homes has been a faith-based provider of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities since 1959. In our Immediate Care Facility (ICF-IID) we are licensed to care for 51 individuals many who have intense medical needs and physical assistance. We are unique in our ability to serve individuals with diverse needs, including complex health requirements, with no age restrictions for placement. Occasionally, Filling Homes cares for individuals on an “emergency basis” for up to a year, when families face problems that mean they can no longer care for a child or adult with developmental disabilities.

At the main campus, we provide twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week care. The level of service depends upon the individual’s needs. These individuals reside in one of four living areas consisting of eight bedrooms and four bathrooms surrounding two, family-style living rooms. Outside each living area is a patio for outdoor enjoyment. The main campus is blessed to be able to offer a host of therapeutic and recreational opportunities through the use of our Therapy Center gym and therapeutic pool; Chapel; adaptive playground; multi sensory environment; and Day Habilitation Center.

The highly trained staff of our main campus provide for all resident needs. Qualified Intellectual Disability Professionals, Direct Support Staff, Nurses, Dietary Staff, Housekeeping Staff and Laundry Staff take care of all service plan details and day-to-day personal and medical care, while Speech, Occupational, Physical, Recreation and Aquatic Therapists provide services that maintain current function and help to develop skills for independence. An on-campus Chaplain provides for the spiritual needs of residents and staff alike with personal counseling and weekly worship activities.

Filling Homes mission is to assist individuals to reach their greatest level of independence in a caring community of respect, dignity, and partnership, and we are commitment to providing the highest quality of service to ensure a person's health, safety, and well being with the greatest degree of independence.

Group Homes - ICF Facility

Filling Homes provides services in Williams County to individuals in a group home setting (ICF/IDD) in both Bryan, Ohio and in West Unity, Ohio. The home in Bryan was established in 1984 and the West Unity home opened in 1986. Each home houses eight residents and provides care to residents ranging from mild to profound intellectual disabilities. Filling Home provides each individual with comprehensive nursing services and coordinates these services in conjunction with their own primary care physician and/or specialists in the community. They also receive non-medical services and supports coordination from a qualified intellectual disabilities professional as well as having access to all of the professional services offered at the main campus.

In the group homes, just like at our main campus in Napoleon, we provide twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week care and the level of service depends upon the individuals' needs. It is our commitment to provide the highest quality of services that will ensure a person's health, safety, and well being with the greatest degree of independence.

The residents living in these group homes participate in community events and support their community like anyone else. They work in their community, attend church in their community, have memberships at the local gym, go grocery shopping at the grocery store, stop by other stores to pick up a few things, attend events like fairs and parades and any other events that might inspire their interest. They participate in local activities that they want to be part of as well as having the advantage of utilizing services and participating in activities coordinated and held in Napoleon.

Filling Homes mission is to assist individuals to reach their greatest level of independence in a caring community of respect, dignity, and partnership. The residents living in these group homes benefit from both local community involvement and even broader community involvement through our Napoleon campus!
