Volunteer Program

Filling Homes has many ways you may chose to get involved as a part of our Volunteer program. A variety of activities at our various locations can provide a meaningful experience of friendship and fellowship with our individuals and our staff.

volunteersOur volunteers may work behind the scenes in support roles performing clerical tasks, working in our laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance areas.

Other volunteers may choose to be friendly visitors who interact with our clients during a variety of daily activities. These activities may include assisting with our day Habilitation programs, Art Club, the Soaring Arts studio, recreational activities, Chapel services and gardening. Volunteering to mend clothing is a great way for friends to volunteer together.

For those people who wish to volunteer from home or with a group of friends we have volunteers who send greeting cards to our residents for Birthdays and Holidays. Also just dropping a cheerful note is always appreciated.

If you or your group sings, plays a musical instrument, dances or likes to share hand-made crafts our residents would enjoy meeting you and or your group as you volunteer to share your talents.

Another important group of volunteers are those who volunteer their services at our special events throughout the year.  Volunteering at these events is a great way for students to obtain their required volunteer hours.

The Filling Home Women's Guild is another way to get involved and share your talents. Click here for more information.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 419-592-6451, to schedule an appointment, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
