The Festival of Tables has been an annual event of the Women’s Guild benefitting the residents and clients of Filling Homes since 1998. Though the location has moved from the churches to the Filling Home, the format has worked well, and so it remains the same. The Guild provides the venue, the meal and the entertainment. The generous hostesses take it from there. They design the table in the theme of their own interest and then invite seven guests who each donate $15 for a seat at the table. All of the proceeds go to fund a project or a piece of equipment for Filling Homes that the Guild chooses to support.
Over the years, this special gift has gone to the purchase of adaptive equipment, resident property, and even a memory tree for the chapel, but as Filling Homes services have grown into the community, the Guild has also chosen to support the gardening and the art programs for adult day services.
