Residents, clients and staff of Filling Homes have come up all sorts of activities that have made the most of the stay-at-home order instituted by the State of Ohio.

Sean, who lives at our Base Facility, showed off some birdseed feeders that he and his friends made to enhance birdwatching. Crafts have been a popular pastime, and thanks to the supplies that have been donated by our thoughtful and generous supporters, there should be enough to get our crafters through this quarantine! Of course, all this time at home has been a good opportunity to get some spring cleaning done, catch up on Netflix, and just get out for fresh air and exercise—even if it was in the snow!

Staying positive and staying engaged with each other and with the community has really helped. Pastor Denise has kept the connection to God by bringing weekly Chapel service to each living area and reminding residents and staff of God’s love for them. Greeting cards of encouragement have been made and exchanged between clients, residents and staff of all locations and sent to community members to let them know that they are being thought of and that they are appreciated. And, yep, even local businesses have had Filling support as take out meals have been ordered as extra special treats across all Filling locations.

Filling Homes has been blessed to hear from so many, who have prayed for our health and safety and from more who have sent encouragement to our essential staff members. These dedicated professionals haven’t missed a beat—coming in every day since the outbreak of this pandemic to ensure the best care possible for the men, women and children to whom they provide service.

Filling Homes is doing well!

We thank you for your concern and support and look forward to the “reopening” of Ohio, so we can see you all again!
